Swap Meet Find

Postby Nobby » Sun Feb 07, 2010 3:03 pm

G'day All, Denver is having its annual swap meet at the moment. I came across this curious build.
(Apologies for the quality, only had phone with me)

That's right, a '67 convertible Mustang Ute!!!
Think he had 13,500 on it, but can't remember

Hi Nobby

Well the orange beast isn't my type of resto but at least the guy has the guts to express himself how he wants !
Far to many opinionated people out there who are only to ready to bag any ones ride which is different to what they
perceive is correct.
I cannot see the price for the second beast as it just states best offer. If he had the price at 60k I'm guessing he
thinks a stang with two owners is worth 58k more then multiple owners. If he manages to find some one keen enough
to buy it well guess he will be laughing all the way to the bank

Remember that piece of shoe jeep liberty we were driving in Denver ? Well we managed to get back to LA in it then the day before
we were due to fly out I decided to go buy some parts to take home. We drove to a suburb just south of LAX and luckily were in the back streets.
I stopped at a cross street, went to go across the intersection and a loud bang came from under the heap of crap. It stopped dead in the middle of the
intersection with the engine revving its head of. I turned of the engine and jumped out to see what had happened and oil was spewing out of the rear diff.
The diff had blown through the housing and jammed solid so we were stuck in the middle of the interection with no way to move it......
Bottom line I will never rent or god for bid buy a chrysler product again as the PT cruiser we had first was a piece of shoe on wheels as well.

Anyway bit of a story about our last couple of days in LA.
Oh and dont rent from Dollar Cars they suck arse.

Keep it safe mate.

Thanks Sham, our PT cruiser and a car sales person were enough to steer us away from Chrysler, as for Dollar I replied in your other thread. How are these guys still in business.

As for the 66, yes he had $60000 on the title, I thought it was a misprint until he put $60k or best offer in the description.
I'm guessing he received a few emails asking if he was serious and rethought his price???

For the '67, yes, I like peoples individuality coming through in their cars, and despise people who think they should remain original and let you know all about it!!

Fingers crossed I'll be driving a sweet '66 soon, putting my own flair to it!!!
